(Excel 2013) I want to stop conditional formatting from converting references to make them fixed (adding $s to the referenced cell name).
Example: I want to format A1 based on B1, A2 based on B2, C1 based on C2, ETC
I FORMAT CELL A1: Condition(B1="Finished") / Format(Green Font)
When I save this condition, Excel changes the formula to ($B$1="Finished")
I COPY THE CELL TO A2: The condition is still referencing $B$1, but I want it to reference B2.
Is there any setting to stop conditional formatting from adding the $s to the cell names?
* I couldn't find any previous posts on this topic, so I apologize if this has already been addressed. Please provide a link if that is the case; thank you!
