I thought we had this solved but I still cannot get the code to work. I have a report called dailydiary on the report I have two fields Maintransit and transitno. If transitno does not equal maintransit i want it to view and print Bold.

I have tried this but get errors

If reports![dailydiary]![transitno]<> reports![dailydiary]![maintransit] then
reports![dailydiary]![transitno].fontbold = true
end if
Iam determined to make this work can anyone help me
thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Not sure if you've cracked this yet ....
Code needs to go in Format section of detail ... see below. This appears to work

Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
If Reports![dailydiary]![transitno] <> Reports![dailydiary]![maintransit] Then
Reports![dailydiary]![transitno].FontBold = True
End If

End Sub
