Hi,

When you are linking two spreadsheets together, is it possible to carry over the conditional formatting from one spreadsheet to another?

I type in = and click in a cell with conditional formatting on Spreadsheet 1

I want the conditional formatting in the Spreadsheet 1 to carry over to Spreadsheet 2.

I assume only the value is displayed now on Spreadsheet 2.

Do I have to rewrite my conditional formatting rules in Spreadsheet 2?

Thanks,

Jeff

Welcome to the Board!

You can take a bit differrent approach: first copy the cell you wan to link to, then goto the destination cell and Paste Special-->Link, Paste Special-->Formats.

Hope that helps,
