Hi,

Looking to set up a Conditional Format that will look at colums H and J whichboth have text and such that

1. If H is No and J is To Do it goes red,
2. If H is No and J is Booked it goes Amber
3. If H is Yes and J is Done it goes Green

Understand thatbthe easies way is via Conditional format using a fomula just can seem to get the formaula to work. Happy with setting the necessary clours.

Lastly and importantly, Happy New Year and as always thank you for any support or advice.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
How about like
Excel Formula:
=AND($H2="No",$J2="To Do")

Thank you for the fast responses. This seems to work on most but there are some whgere it is a line out when I apply it. So at Line 4 its Col H "No" and Col J "Yes", however tbhis then appears on the line below, any ideas?

The row number in the formula must match the 1st row in the applies to range. It sounds as though you have different rows.

You need to write the formula as it applies to the FIRST cell in your Conditional Formatting range selection.
It looks like you are off one row.
What range EXACTLY does it show this formula being applied to?
I am guessing that you included row 1 (maybe you selected the entire column?).

If you look at Manage Rules after it has been created, it shows you exactly what range you applied it to:

So you either need to update your formula to reference row 1, or change the range you apply it to so you start on row 2.
