Conditional Format with a blank cell

Hello. I have a conditional format for a range of cells (B5:I5) to turn all the cells red if the value in cell E5 is greater than today's date (overdue). The formula is simple at =$E$7<TODAY() and then the cell format is to fill with red. Applies to cell range B5:I5.

However, if E5 is left blank the entire range goes red.

I have tried a few formula with NOT is blank and is blank but I can't get it quite right.

Any ideas?

=and($E$7<>"",$E$7<TODAY())
