We are trying to add a conditional format to the very top line of this data (see Column V; Row 129).

If anything below that very top line is negative, then we would like to change the cell Red.

When we did a test, we get a "Spill Err", which we think might be due to using a range of cells.

Any help to format this way would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Mr. Excel Community!

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Which cell are you trying to apply the CF to? V129?

Give this a try as your CF formula and adjust the range to suit your data:
Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF($V130:$V150,"<0")>0
