conditional format query

Hi,
In a range I have a conditional format to colour cell if = "H" but when I delete the cell contents the colour still remains, I don't know why this has started to happen i'm sure before the cell returned to a no fill status.
Any ideas?

Is auto re-calc turned off?

From Office support

Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Formulas category. Do one of the following: To recalculate all dependent formulas every time you make a change to a value, formula, or name, in the Calculation options section, under Workbook Calculation, click Automatic.
