Conditional format empty cells turn red, but only if there is data in the column to the left.

Im running a conditional format that if the column has empty data it turns red. Is there a custom formula that will make this so it only turns red if there is data in the column to the left of it? Picture attached. I would like for the rows that don't have a value in the first column to not then show red in the second column. Thanks!

Check this and revert -

Assuming you want to format Column B, use following formula to CF

=And(B1="",$A1<>"")

not sure what columns you are using
lets say its column B that is empty and column A needs to have a value

changing the double negative to show a TRUE result

so row A must have a value to turn red in B
so A is NOT blank and B is blank to show red

i read a few times

use
=AND( $A2<>"", $B2="") - depending on where you start
