Hi all,

Can I apply a colour scale conditional format based on another cells value?

In Column 'A' I have written text in each Cell. I would like Column A to Colour Scale Conditional Format, based upon the values in the range in Column B. Is this possible to do this?, and what is the formula I need to use to in determine its format?

Thanking you in advance

Cris

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Yes you can use column B to set a colour in column A

BUT what are the numbers required to set the colours

Lets assumn a colour of green will be applied to the column A for any number grreater than 10 in column B

select A
then create a rule
formula

=$B1 > 10
