Here is my data :
A1= Sequential number
B1 = Part ID
C1 =Area
D1= Target

So that :
A2 = 500
B2 = 500-G
C2= Production office
D2 = Office Door
E2 = Glass

I want to generate B2 by having an if formula that if E2 =glass than add the suffix "-G" ro A2 so that it becomes 500-G,otherwise add suffix"-BR" which then generates 500-BR.

So I end up with a list of parts that are either Glass or brittle plastic and I hyperlink the part number to the picture.

I guess I will have to hide column A

Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Try:
Code:
=A2 & IF(E2="Glass","-G","-BR")
