Hello

I am working on a project that involves me sorting clients into various different groups based on parameters regarding what types of accounts they hold.

I sorted the list down to the people who have two accounts and now I want to sort the original client info sheet down to this same group of people.

I inserted a column into column A that has the list of around 500 unique client names next to the full data sheet of over 2000 clients. How can I do a function that will delete all the clients in the sheet that don't appear in column A?

Now that I've typed this out it sounds simpler to me but I couldn't find answers anywhere.

Please give me any advice or a link to something. Anything is appreciated as this is a very time sensitive project.:)

RyBand0,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum.

1. What version of Excel, and, Windows are you using?

2. Are you using a PC or a Mac?

This is not a good idea, because, it could cause problems.

the list of around 500 unique client names

This should be in a new worksheet, to compare the two worksheets.

3. Can we see a workbook with just two worksheets?

3a. The worksheet with the short list.

3b. The original raw data worksheet name, with just column A, with a sample clients list. And, on this list indicate in column B with an X (as a reference for me), those entries that should be deleted form the short list.

The following is a free site:

You can upload your workbook to (the BLUE link-->) Box Net ,
