I have rental amount in column H, contract date in column K and program end date in column M.
I want to calculate the amount of total rent. If contract starts before March 2008, then the formula should calculate the months (like 4.3 month etc) and multiply that to the rent amount column H, and then starting from March 2008 the rent should be reduced by $50 per month until it becomes zero or February 2009, which ever comes earlier.
If a person joins to program after March 2008, then the rent is reduced by the number of months from March 2008 to start date times 50.
for example the rent is $600, and start date is May 2008, the rent payment should be $450, calculated 600-150 (three months times $50). and decreased by $50 then on.

Thanks
Sohail

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
