Compile error problem

I was editing a module and had a power cut.
Now when I reopen the workbook I get message box saying;
Rich (BB code):
Compile error
Invalid outside procedure
With “OK and Help” options
But regardless of selecting “OK” I can’t get back into the sub to complete the editing.
At the moment my only coarse is to use “Task Manager” to “End Task” and exit Excel,
but that leaves the workbook with the “Compile error” that can’t be resolved.
I’ve tried an Excel repair, just in case and tried opening offending workbook in “Safe mode”, without effect.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Have you tried opening a second workbook and try and get the VB Editor up, then see if you can get into the offending module?

Solution
Thanks Mark
Your suggestion DID allow me to get back to the offending Workbook/Module and complete the editing; so was able to subsequently eliminate the compile error.
