0 0 display "blank"
17-Nov-17 0 display "waiting"
17-Nov-17 16-Nov-17 display "done"

Not sure what you mean exactly. If you want the the value in A3 to change based on the value in A1 and A2 then the below woudl work:

=IF(AND(A1=0,A2=0),"",IF(AND(A1=43056,A2=0),"Waiting",IF(AND(A1=43056,A2=43055),"Done","N/A")))

Thank you for the reply Zunit....just want to ask what are these 43056,43056 and 43055? Does all dates have this equivalent value?


A1 B1 C1

0 0 display "Blank"
any date 0 display "waiting"
any date any date display "N/A"

for the third, I just want that If i key in any dates in A1 and B1, it will display "N/A"

Yes excel sees dates as numbers.

You can just change the date figures to >0
