Hi,
I'm having a bit of trouble. I need a macro which is able to compare two sheets of data with the same variables and produce a table of differences between the two. The problem is that, the comparison needs to assess the data rather than where the data is positioned. For example line 2 of sheet1 might be identical to line 5 of sheet2, thus is identical data which I do not need in the final report.

Both sheets are the same datasets, just one is old data and one is new data thus there may be updates to variables and some parts may be new whilst others may no longer be in use. It is a big dataset about 35,000 lines and 15 columns in each sheet.

Thanks.

Note: I am using excel 2010, I am unable to download a compare add-on or external compare program.

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
