Hi all,

I am quite new to excel so pretty basic questions from me but I would appreciate your help.

I am trying to work out how I would find the top 3 reasons for a particular month compared to another month with percentages. And if they have changed position. example. the data would be on a separate sheet example sheet 2

for example:

January top reason was email with 40%
February top reason was letter with 40% outcomes

which shows an increase by xxx for feb for Letter and decrease by XX % for February email

January Top Contact Reason
Jan %
February Top Reason Contact
Feb%

Email
40
Letter
40

Letter
20
Email
20

Skype
20
Skype
20

thank you so much sorry if its a bit vague

welcome to the forums... where is this data coming from, in other words, how are you extracting the top three to begin with?

thank you so much for the reply, I don't know what is the best way to do it. is it best to have the data on the same sheet as the table or on a separate sheet?

I was thinking if I could have the data and insert a column with the month and just keep adding each month to the datasheet and create a table which tells me each month what is the top reasons thanks in advance

are you able to copy/paste the original source of data? at least some of it?

For something like this it's probably best to keep it all on one worksheet with 12 columns (one per month), that way you can easily see the changes right there, you can even create all 12 months to begin with and then hide or ignore the columns when viewing the data.
