Hi all,

Is there a way to compare two columns to ensure that both columns are not only the same, but are also in the same order.

I have a list of products, with prices and sub-totals, in my main spreadsheet. I get sent another list of products, with prices and sub-totals for a particular month. I simply copy and paste the data across. Is there a way to make sure that my two columns are the exact same.

Sort alpha would not work here.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Why not?

If you sort them, you can then add a column with a formula to see if they match, i.e.
Code:
=A2=B2
which will return TRUE if they match, FALSE if they do not.
