Hi There

I have two sets of data that I need to compare (from two different sources) using a formula preferably; that look similar to this (71,P*Q*R) but the one source can write (71,Q*R*P). How can I compare these to get a true match even though they are in different order. I have tried various comparison formula's (and confused myself in the process) but had no joy. I know the * is a wild card in excel, is the fact that we have the * in the data causing a problem. Some of these strings can have a couple of hundred characters in. Thanks in advance
