Hello,

I need a help in comparing cells. Will try my best to explain:
1. Got an excel data with two columns.
Col A is "List One" and col B is "List two"

Basically I want a program/formula to look in to data within column A and compare to column B.
If col A and B has same data then highlight the cells in yellow or red color.

Example
Col A Col B
John Steve
Rocky John
Steve
Assem

in above example both 'Steve & John' are common so they should be highlighted yellow

Example
Col A Col B
John Steve
Rocky John
Steve
Assem

Let me know if somone can assist.

thanks

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Try in conditional formatting the following formulas:

1. In A...

=MATCH($A2,$B$2:$B$5,0)

2. In B...

=MATCH($B2,$A$2:$A$5,0)
