Hi,

I have a macro in excel that opens up access, runs the queries, and then closes the database. Is there a way that once it opens up access, it can compact and repair the database before it runs the queries? I am working in a 2007 access database.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
You can set the db to compact on close - then it would be compacted when it opens next :).
I like to script my dbs to be compacted nightly (or weekly, monthly, as appropriate).
