Combox box text question

I have an unbound Combo Box named SubjectNo the Row Source is qryPayment, on frmPayment the record souce is tblPayment2. The subject number I select in the combo box populates the rest of the form. I have list of 1849 Subject numbers, I want to be able to type the Subject number in the combo box then select it from the list. When I type the Subject number in nothing happens I have to scroll through the list of 1849 subject numbers to select the one I want. My question is how do I get the text portion of the combo box to select the proper subject number?

Perhaps this will clarify the question. How do I get the text portion of the combo box to work so that when I type in a number it automatically will go to that number on the list?

Try setting the Auto Expand property of the combo box to Yes.
