I have created a database (Access 2016) and imported data from an Excel spreadsheet. Now, I would like to convert some of the text boxes to combo boxes. Will I lose the data that is currently in the text box when I convert to combo box?

thanks, Judy

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hi, you won't lose any data - that's all in tables and won't be affected at all when you change the form design.

That said if you are new to Access its easy to make mistakes so I'd copy your file(s) now and then so you have some backups.

I appreciate the good advice. I do have the habit of backing up files before making changes (just in case...). I am new to VBA but not new to programming.

Thanks again, Judy
