Combo box searchable drop down list crashes excel when i click on it

I am new to using combo boxes. I followed an online tutorial to create a searchable drop down list using a combo box and minimal VBA code. I am using the document for financial statements with expense codes in the drop down menu for each transaction.

I created the combo box then copied and pasted the combo box down the excel sheet to create 100 rows of expenses for each month. Every time I click on the combo box now excel just freezes and crashes.

Please help I feel as though I may have just made a beginner mistake but I do not know how to fix it.

Hi, BEOWULF/40, wecome to the forum. You need to post the code associated with the combo box. That is most likely the key to the cause of Excel not performing as expected. Also include a description of how your data is constructed, eg. 1 header row, 12 columns, variiable number of rows, etc. Which columns you expect to search and what you expect to happen if data is found.
