combo box (drop down) from word to excel

I have populated combo boxes in word that I would like to put in a an excel worksheet and keep the data in them

If you're wanting the combo-box data to go into Excel, is there a reason for having them in Word?

That's hardly a reason for having them there. Unless the data are needed in Word, it makes no sense having the combo boxes there.
