Cell E2 has a date, Jan 2024, custom formatted as mmm yyyy. I say E2, but it's actually E2 - E7 merged and centered. Cell E3 has the word Budget.

Cell E4 has this formula =E2&" "&E3 which is producing the result of 45292 Budget as opposed to the desired Jan 2024 Budget. I've tried every formatting option to both cells E2 and E4 and haven't hit the right combination.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
How about
Excel Formula:
=text(e2,"mmm yyyy")&" "&e3
although I don't know how you can have something in E3 if E2:E7 are merged, or how you can put a formula in E4

Solution
Typo Not E2:E7 it should be E2:I2 but your suggested formula worked perfectly. Thank you
