Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
The series for the line Data has to be edited manually. When you created the original chart, the values 1 through 8 were inserted. You have to edit those in the Horizontal Axis section on the right side of the "Select Data Source" dialog. It will let you select the new X series.

My bad. I duplicated the issue. I had to change the X Axis Type to Date to get it to work. I guess the X Axis is being ruled by a Text based structure instead of a number based structure. The numbers 10-80 are just labels to the Line Data. The XY series uses numbers and can interpolate between. You'll have to play with the Units to get it right.

Thank you so much Jeffrey Mahoney Sir :beerchug:
I converted Column A to the Date format and correct chart was generated. Tried with other formats too but only the Date format works ( not sure why ). :beerchug:
Correct chart's pic

( formatted x axis in chart as number to show numbers instead of dates ) :beerchug:

Thank you.
