combine string and xlookup

hi i am usign =xlookup(D2;R4:R603;S4:604). for dimanic data. is it possible to value of "xlookup" insert into some string? or vlookup is the same for this sitation.
example:
VALUE OF "=xlookup(D2;R4:R603;S4:604)" IS "RED"
is it possible to value RED insert into some string?

Will the value of D2 always be in the range R4:R603?

=xlookup(D2;R4:R603;S4:604,"") & " is Red"
