Hi
I have question about sorting data in a report. I will start and explain in detail what I have and what i want.
I made an excel invoice workbook: sheet1 is the template, and sheet2 is the transactions.
In sheet1 I made a regular invoice template, Then I created a macro that should print and record the customer name, date and the total amount from this invoice into sheet2. Now Sheet2 has numerous transactions. Let's say I have 50 customers but I have about 500 invoice transactions, meaning I have a few invoices per customer. Ex. I have three $5 transactions for a certain costumer from 8/19/12. Then I have another five transactions of $3 from 8/19/12 for a different customer. Then I have another four transactions of $6 from 8/20/12 for the same as 8/19/12 (click on the link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99610859/Excel/example.xlsx to see the attached example file "sheet1").
What I want is.. To get all the transactions
Combined. Least transactions possible meaning if one customer has 3 invoices from 8/19 1. $5 2. $8 3. $4 and 1 invoice from 8/20 of $6 should say on sheet3:
John smith 8/19 $17
John smith 8/20 $6. (click on the link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99610859/Excel/example.xlsx to see the attached example file "sheet2")
As I understand this should be done with a macro but I couldn't figure out how to make it.
