combine a formatted number in a cell with another cell containing non formatted numbers

I have a cell (L3) with a value of 2,620,000 that is formatted to read 2.62. I have another cell (R3) that has a value "1280 x 1024 at 100 fps" and that is no formatting.

I would like to combine the two into one cell that reads 2.62 B (1280 x 1024 at 100 fps). My first stab at it does not work since it returns the full value 2,620,000 and not 2.62. My incorrect formula looks like this:

=L3&" B ("&R3&")"

this yields: 2620000 B (1280 x 1024 at 100 fps)

Is there a way to keep the formatted 2.62? Again, it should read: 2.62 B (1280 x 1024 at 100 fps)

=TEXT(L3/(10^6),"0.00") & " B (" & R3 & ")"

Is that what you want?

=TEXT(L3,"0.00,,") & " B (" & R3 & ")"

It's a short way to solve the question.
