I am looking the combinations of X numbers from N columns but here is the hard part for me:

After I generate the combinations from column A and column B ( 100 at total) I want to delete some of these combinations (so from 100 at total I have 40 i.e) before I generate the combinations for the column C, so the total combinations of this table are (10 x 10 - 60) x 10 = 400, and the story goes on for N columns.

So the procedure is, generate combinations for the first 2 columns, manually delete some of them, generate combinations for the next column, delete manually some of them, generate combinations for the next column.....

I will be very happy if someone can help me on this.

Excel Facts

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
So you want to remove from 999 combinations certain values manually. Where zero is substituted with "X" (?)
=SUBSTITUTE(TEXT(A1,"000"),0,"X")

Thanks for the reply, but my problem is how to generate combinations with the procedure that I described with numbers from 1 to X and columns from A to N.
Thanks again for the interest.
