Combination Chart - STacked bar and line

Yes!, by using a bar chart and wanting a bar representation and a line representation in the same chart.. you need to add two data series.. one in one row, the other in another row. The graph will then draw using the line and bar chart data.



* oops, sorry, I am not sure about a stacked bar chart, only a normal bar chart

This can be done. I do the very same thing.

Here's how:

Chart all the data as stacked columns. Once the chart is created the Totals series will be ploted on top of the others and doesn't look right at all - don't worry.

Right click on the Totals series - make sure that only the Total series is selected - select Chart Type, then Line.

Click "OK". Now the line is charted directly on top of the bars.
