Column Comparing Current Month vs Prior Month

How in Power BI do I set up a column that allows the user to select two periods (current, prior period) and have a column that shows the difference between the two periods.

For example, one row that shows sales revenue and another row that shows the difference between current month sales revenue and the sales revenue for a user selected prior month period.

If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
You have to create 2 measures
Create one measure to calculate the value for the current period. You can use functions like SUM, AVERAGE, or any relevant aggregation for your data.
Create another measure for the prior period in a similar way.
You can use functions to filter data for the prior period.
