Hi,

I would like some help with slicers and colour coding the bar chart that they relate to. I have created an overview of the number of hours each person works on a project and I would like to be able to pick two people from the same data set using the same slicer but have two different colours within the bar chart so that they are easy to compare. Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Welcome to the forum.

Perhaps just right-click the series, choose Format Series and then on the Fill section, choose the 'Vary colours by point' option?

Thanks Rory, this has worked but I am looking for something additional. I have the data spread each month so what I would lie is that the colours to be maintained across the months for each of the people. For example person A would be blue across each month and person B would be red across each month then if you add a third person they also would have a corresponding colour. Is this possible?

If you plot each person as their own series then the default behaviour would be separate colours for each person.
