Colour tiered donut chart based on value

I have a donut chart with multiple tiers (see below). I have manually coloured some of the elements grey to indicate a score - for example, category one has a score of three, category 2 has a score of 5 etc. I want to be able to automate this process, so if I change a category score in a cell, it will colour an additional tier. I know this isn't the intended use of these tiered pie charts, but it's the look I'm after. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
