Colour in Excel cells

Hi all. Seems I am locked out of adding colour to cells, and to lettering within a cell. I assume it is to do with protections but I cant see how to get it done.

Sorry for the silly question.

On the Review tab, is there an 'Unprotect Sheet' button? If so, then yes your worksheet is protected.
