hi!

i was wondering if it is possible to give columns and rows different fill up colors lik eyou can do in excel. i created a database with a lot of variables and i think it would be easier to fill out when colors distinguish that certain variables belong to each other.

also i would like to know if it is possible to color certain results in a report. for example, every negative number should be red.

thanks

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I don't believe you can color individual rows/columns.

You can format your report numbers to be red if negative though.

On your report, select the control that will hold the number.
Select|Format|Conditional Formatting.
From this point its just like Excel, tell it to format red when the value is less than zero.

I seem to remember a way to "cheat", and get alternating row colors, but it was complicated, I'll check around to see if I can find it.
