Coding in an employee count month by month and per region/department

Need to count the number of employees in each month, by category and region.


I have linked below a worksheet which hopefully demonstrates the problem best.

in O70, copy down and across

=COUNTIFS($K$22:$K$66,$B70,O$22:O$66,">0")

in O79, copy down and across

=COUNTIFS($J$22:$J$66,$B79,O$22:O$66,">0")
