Hi, I am looking to create a button on a worksheet which, when pressed, will unprotect, select a certain area of cells, copy, then open a new workbook and paste (special values, source column width) into the new workbook. The final code would have to re-protect the cells that had originally been unprotected.

Many Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You can get all of that by recording a macro (with the exception of a protection password, but that's easy to add).

Feel free to post back what you get and someone can clean it up for you.
