Code for Advance searching needed

I have a dynamic dropdown list search in my excel worksheet, my problem is that the more letters i type in the search box the slower the search becomes because it recalculates for every letter put into or removed from it, is there a way to disable application.calculations if i type in a fast sequence and re-enable it once i stop typing?
