Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
The problem is when I just delete it i also destroy the excel 'coding'
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

1. What, exactly, do you mean by the excel 'coding'?

2. Describe the step(s) that you are currently taking to just delete it

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

1. What, exactly, do you mean by the excel 'coding'? I'm thinking it is part of the Excel program which is deleted as explained in the next line.

2. Describe the step(s) that you are currently taking to just delete it
I highlight all data and hit delete key.

Not entirely clear but I'm guessing by 'coding' you mean formulas.

If so, then try this:
Highlight all data as before then press F5 -> Special... -> Constants -> OK and then hit the Delete key

If 'coding' doesn't mean formulas, then a different answer to Q1 might help.
