I consider this a "dirty file", I'm not sure if that's an accurate technical term, but it fits once you see what I run into.
This happens primarily when a worksheet is created from downloading data from a corporate system. It will occur in the new spreadsheet and in any subsequent tabs that are created in the workbook.
I will enter a formula, =A1+B1, in those cells are the number 3 and 4. The answer should be 7, but instead, the only thing that displays is the formula.
To fix this, I just select the cell and one more cell beneath it and then from the menu select, Data, Text to Columns, Finish.
I'm okay with doing this once in awhile, but I now have a project where I have to expand 10 worksheets from 85 columns of data to 120. That's doing this 350 times.
Does anyone have a fast way to take care of this problem?
