Greetings,

I've been using this spreadsheet for years. It has been working fine.

But today I'm getting this message;
CircularReferences.jpg

In the lower left-hand corner was the cell reference. I've tried to delete that cell, but it would give the next below that one I just deleted. I deleted the rest of the column. Then it said the cell above the first cell.

I can't remember but I got an update the day before, I think.

So now it is not doing any calculations. Can't explain why now.

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Look at the Formula Tab and in the Auditing Group click Check Errors down arrow and it will show the cells with circular references. That should help resolve your issue.

Trevor,

Thanks. I followed your directions, but I don't find anything.

The cell is, H157, =IF(K157<>"",IF(H157="",NOW(),H157),"")

Most of my formulas are like that. It has been working for years.

If the workbook isn't recalculating then check the File Tab and Options, Formula and make sure Workbook Calculations is set to Automatic

Goto File > Options > Formulas & check the box marked Enable iterative calculation.
