Circular Reference Error: It use to work.

Greetings,

I'm sure this has come up, but I haven't been able to find the fix.

I assume that is one of many that I have where I think the problem is. =IF(K43<>"",IF(N43=0,"",MOD(I43-AG42,1)),"")

This has been working for about a month, but now it doesn't.

I also assume the answer is somewhere in Options.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.

If you're right it's probably because K, N or I columns have dependency on column AG. You can see where the circular reference is by selecting Formulas, Error Checking.

You can try File, More..., Options, Formulas and under Calculation Options change the Enable iterative calculation.

Thanks for that correct answer. I should have known because it has happened in the past.

Can you tell me why it 'unchecks' itself?

It will return to circular references if you open a sheet which had that setting.
