Hello all, newbie questions for you involving Excel 2010.

Have two cells that look at each other as conditional. A1 looks to see if A2 is >0 and if yes than A1 must be 0. A2 also looks to see if A1 is >0 and if yes than A2 must be 0. Only one cell can have a value greater than zero at any given time.

I get one to work fine, however when I use IF conditional in both I get a circular reference error. Any guidance would be great… Thank you.

Welcome to MrExcel.

You can't avoid a circular reference with that set up.

Is this an acceptable solution; or is there a better option? Also, if accepting the circular ref as a solution; is there a way to hide or get rid of the blue line connecting the two cells?

Thanks for your time.
