Excel Charts and Graph Chapter 12; Screen Clipping Hey, Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast. I'm Bill Jelen.
You know I'm a big fan of some products from a company in which you can call "Techsmith snagit and Camtasia Studio".
Camtasia Studio is what are used to produce a broadcast, produced over 1200 of the cells of broadcast using Camtasia Studio.
Over the year's, version 3,5 and 7 and now 7.1.
Snapit, great tool for shooting Screenshots.
Not the whole screen, just the little piece you want.
Microsoft is a kind of... giving all people with Office 2010 the ability to do kind of what Snapit does.
If you wanna put that Screenshot right in Word or Excel, I had some new functionality appear on the Insert, Screenshot and what they are offering is the all available Windows.
So, there is the Powerpoint that I have open, Webpage that I have open.
Looks like a Windows Explorer that I have open, and even the cantager, a cantager recording toolbar is there.
But I have tell you that I have never used any of these because it gonna give me the whole Window.
What I wanna use instead is "Screen Clipping".
So, let me show you how we would do that You gonna switch over to the screen that you want the clip.
So here I'm on a Webpage and I'm gonna grap that little piece of the webpage and then immediately jump back to Excel because Excel when you do Screen Clipping is going to go to the last application that was open.
So, Insert, Screen Clipping and you see that Excel gets in and they now show me the Webpage and then go gray it up, I have the mouse cursor here and I can basically un-gray something by drawing a box.
Lets go that is now inserted as an object right there in Microsoft Excel.
And then I'm gonna use all pictures tool.
You know that are real means kind of add some cool looking things to the picture, so rather than having to jump out to Snagit, now Snagit of course does have some great tools adding arrows and things like that But if you just need a quick Screenshot, Insert and then Screenshot, Screen Clipping, a great way to go All right hey, I wanna thank you for stooping by.
See you next time with another netcast from MrExcel.
