Hi
I have excel sheet which has a chart. I want to know what type of char is that. It could be smooth line or scattered line or wave, or anything really. How can I know what type of the chart is used? Thanks

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
If you click on the chart, you can go to Chart Tools > Design > Change Chart Type, and the dialog will show you the current chart type. If you want exact specifications about the chart returned, you'd need to use VBA. You can see Excel MVP Jon Peltier's site for that: www.peltiertech.com. He's pretty much the smartest chart guy on the planet.
