Hi, I saw this visualization in an Excel file. Trying to plot the element inside the red circle. Do you know how can I plot that? Thanks

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I can get close.

They're combination charts with all series as clustered columns.

The lines surrounding the Difference Tags are the borders of columns plotted on the primary axes. These columns are set to "No fill". The "+2" and "-3" are data labels set to show the category names of these "invisible" columns.

The gray columns are plotted on the secondary axes.

All axis scales, and the values plotted for the "invisible" columns take some fiddling. The vertical axis has to be a fixed scale. I can give more detailed instructions if you post some actual numbers.

Thank you. I would be able get there with similar approach. Sorry, I posted a overly simplified version. This is actually what I saw in an Excel file (The different between this picture and the picture above is , at the end of the vertical lines, there are arrows)

If you have the File, you could check if they were shapes. I believe they have to be. This is what I did, very quickly.

I got it! Well, probably ...

It's a Combo chart. I added these two series as line series on the primary axis:

Code:
 A         B
==        ==
50        52
58        58

With the upper line selected, I went to the ribbon: Design >> Add Chart Element >> Lines >> Drop Lines.

Then it was just formatting.
