I rarely post questions on here as I've so often been able to find posts on how to solve my problem. In this case, I'm struggling. I want to chart data based on the selection of a Store. How do I do this?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
I think your problem lies in how you have your data laid out. If it were me, I would have 3 Columns of data. The header row would be STORE#, DATE, SALES. I would then move the sales data to the appropriate corresponding cells.

With your data set up like this you can create a pivot table and then a pivot chart off of the pivot table. Once that is done you can filter the pivot table by whatever store or stores you want and the chart will automatically update. You can even filter by store right on the chart itself.

You can take the data just as you have, and convert the range into a Table. Select the range, press Ctrl+T, check my data has headers. I changed "Gross Sales" to "Store".

Then make a chart from the Table, switching rows and columns if necessary.

Add a slicer to the Table, link it to the Store field. When you use the slicer, the unselected rows are hidden, and only the visible ones appear in the chart.
