Chart axis with log scale

I have scientific notation eg. 5.66E-3 for x-axis and 2.60E+08 for y axis.
I would like to plot the log scale but to have the labels read as 0.001 for x-axis.

Can't you change the number format of the x axis?

My workaround is to have separate columns for the log values and to plot these not the raw values.

I am no longer using the logarithmic option on the chart scale axis, but plotting the newly created log columns.
