Hi All,
I am creating a monthly report in PowerPoint which will have live tables linked to excel, therefore if the info changes the tables in the Powerpoint slides will automatically update.

However what I'd like help with is how in the following month I can quickly change the links so that the report will now link to the new excel spreadsheet? (Aug sales file to Sep Sales file)

Normally if I was using Excel i would simply go into data-edit links-change source, does anyone know how this can be done in PowerPoint.

I appreciate your help guys!

Thanks

Hi WardyKSA,

In Powerpoint 2010 go to the File menu, Click Info, then there is a link on the bottom right of the window called "Edit Links to Files". I'm guessing it's the same on other versions of Powerpoint.

What is annoying, is that you have to update each link individually even if they are referencing the same Excel file.

Hi Mark80

Thanks for the quick reply.
I've got powerpoint 2016 and it doesn't seem to have that link... I'll keep looking.
I would have thought in the 6 years they may have fixed the annoying issue of relinking them individually

In fact I've found what you were explaining! I'd not pasted as links hence why there wasnt the option in the bottom corner.

However even in the 2016 version you need to relink each individually even when on the same file!

Thanks for the help! :)
